In honor of the great men and women who serve our country, I am giving away a copy of A Man Worth Fighting For. Justin Lawson is a special ops serviceman who has dedicated his life to serving our great country and is both physically and emotionally devastated when a bullet brings an early end to his military career.
He has nothing left to offer. She's determined to show him just how much he's worth.
Shot by a member of his military team, Justin Lawson retreats to the Wiccan Haus. Holly Walters refuses to accept her boyfriend's out-of-the-blue rejection without an explanation, even if getting the answers forces her to be trapped on a bizarre island for an entire week. She's going to use every minute to work Justin out of her system once and for all. Justin's body and spirit begin to heal under Holly's loving ministrations. As she talks about never seeing each other again, he realizes he never wants to let her go. But the rogue assassin who had gone after Justin before is after him again. Before he can fight to make Holly believe in their love, he'll have to fight for both their lives.
To be entered to win, leave a comment telling me what Memorial Day means to you. Then like my page on Facebook, follow me on Twitter, and follow my blog here. Contest is open internationally.
I agree, Sara -- we are all so lucky to live here! Nice post.
ReplyDeleteI love Memorial Day because of our traditions. I come from a very long line of military men and women. We go to Jefferson Barracks to "visit" our grandparents than go BBQ.

Lovely and heartfelt post. :)
ReplyDeleteNice post. Being an Elk - it's about veterans every day everyday! Especially in my house with hubby :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sara--I'd love a copy of your book with that good looking guy who was full spread on the poster!! Wonderful post. Freedom is a pretty good thing!
ReplyDeleteHey Sara -great post. We're probably going to attend some of the Memorial Day Events in the Washington DC Area. Rolling Thunder is one of our favorites (and probably the loudest). The rest of the weekend will be spent catching up with my husband's family, most of whom are former or current military.
ReplyDeleteI'm Canadian and we don't celebrate Memorial Day in our country. In November we do celebrate Remembrance Day and in the days leading up to November 11 Canadians donate money to purchase a red poppy (not a live one, its plastic and felt) from the Legion to wear to honor everyone who fought in any war.
ReplyDeleteA Man Worth Fighting For sounds like a good read! And the guy on the cover is pretty yummy too!
Sara, I also am thankful for living in a country in Australia, where I have such freedoms. Like Cheryl, in Australia we don't celebrate Memorial Day but there's Anzac Day (Aust and NZ memorial) and Remembrance Day. And stopping and thinking of those who have served and serve, makes me humble and of course, thankful.
ReplyDeleteLovely post, Sarah, and the cover looks great.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you, Sara! I, too, am grateful to all of our servicemen and women. :)
ReplyDeletePlease do not enter me into the contest as I already have and enjoyed Justin's story. :)
Memorial day is rather somber for me. I lost uncles in VietNam, and my grandfather who survived WW2 had PTSD which caused him nightmares for 4o years; he never slept in the same room with my grandmother again. Sacrifice is what Memorial Day brings to mind.
ReplyDeleteThank you to everyone who stopped by and commented. I love hearing how everyone celebrates, salutes and remembers in this country and around the world.
ReplyDeleteNow for the random drawing: The winner of A Man Worth Fighting For is ... Mindy Hardwick! Congratulations Mindy. I will be emailing you shortly with your prize.
