#MySexySaturday A Bride Worth Fighting For @WiccanHaus #pnr #amnesiabride #giveaway

7 Sentences to kick off A Bride Worth Fighting For

“I don’t.” The groom’s words rang through the church. He strode from the altar, the crunch of his dress shoes on the paper aisle runner like gunshots in the dead silence.

While the groom darted away from the wedding, Tucker Wilde stood frozen in front of the congregation. His role was supposed to be simple: Stand straight, keep his mouth shut during the pastor’s blanket call for objections, hand over the rings at the right moment. Not warm his brother’s cold feet and herd him back into the church.

Vegan Pea Soup #recipe from @chrispavesic #veganrecipe

Guest Post by Chris Pavesic

Cooking for a family that has food allergies is challenging, primarily because those allergies may change over time (depending upon the degree of sensitivity). One food my family always enjoyed during the winter months was pea soup—until one member could no longer eat ham. So I worked out this recipe that serves four as a meatless pea soup that meets my family’s flavor standards.

Vegan Pea Soup
1 cup dried peas
3 cups water
½ cup baby carrots
½ cup green pepper. diced
½ cup celery—diced
1 tbsp. parsley flakes
½ tbsp. celery flakes
2 tsp. sea salt
¼ cup onions, diced (optional)
4 baked or boiled potatoes, peeled and diced (optional)

Rinse the peas thoroughly before placing them in a saucepan. Add 2 cups of water. Add all the remaining ingredients except the potatoes. Cover the saucepan and simmer for 2 hours, adding the final cup of water at about the 1 hour mark.

The peas should be tender. If they are still somewhat firm at the 2 hour mark, continue to simmer, checking the consistency every 15 minutes. It is fine to add a splash of extra water if needed.

Notes: I adjusted the amount of vegetables and used spices that my family members can eat. If you and yours can eat them and enjoy the taste, add ¼ cup diced onions to the ingredients.

Serving Suggestions: This can be served as the soup course of a meal, or combined with the baked potatoes to create a hearty lunch.

Evenly distribute the diced potatoes into four large soup bowls. Ladle the pea soup over the potatoes and enjoy!

Please enjoy an excerpt from my latest fantasy Heart & Mind

A princess with hair as golden as a sunflower and eyes as green as apples was blessed from birth to have beauty and power and to marry a prince on her eighteenth birthday. Unfortunately for all concerned, there is only one eligible prince in all of the kingdoms, and before he agrees to marry the princess, he wants a magical guarantee that she will look a certain way, talk a certain way, and even think only what he wants. What is a fairy godmother to do?

Sometimes a fairy godmother needs more than magic.

In a kingdom by the sea there lived a princess with hair as golden as a sunflower and eyes as green as apples. She was blessed from birth by a fairy godmother who wished for her to have beauty and power and to marry a prince on her eighteenth birthday.

Of course, the fairy godmother deliberately gave this particular blessing to the princess just to make my life a living misery.

You see, one of the benefits of being a fairy godmother is that you know the exact date of your own death. The knowledge just comes to you, sometimes decades in advance. That particular fairy godmother knew she was going to die just before the princess reached the age of eighteen; she wouldn’t be alive to see the outcome of her blessing. Even back then she could feel the magic starting to gather—starting to pour from her body into the wand as it prepared to transfer to the new host—so she decided to have a little fun with the person who inherited her position.

Lucky me.

#FreeRead #Giveaway and New Release – Oh YES!

Book promotion is not for the faint of heart. My preferred way to release a book is to let a publisher put it out and spend release day quietly writing my next book. Unfortunately, when I do what I prefer, no one knows my new book exists. So, I have to yell: “Hey, everybody, I have a new book out. It’s called THE BAD BOY’S GUARANTEE. If you like orgasms and chocolate martinis, you’ll love it.” And it should be an incredible bestseller because, really, who doesn’t like orgasms and chocolate martinis? I’ll take two of each right now, thanks!

But no, in this crowded marketplace, not even alcohol and guaranteed orgasms are enough of an enticement. So, I wrote a series and made the first book in the series free. Yep, that’s right. The Bad Boy’s Gift is now free. AND in case you were still on the fence, the second book, The Bad Boy’s Guilt, is on sale for only 99 cents.
That’s right. Three books for less than a cup of coffee. Please run out and buy them now, so I can spend the day quietly writing instead of yelling about them.

Oh, um, well, actually my publicist says I need to yell at other people to buy them too.

And create some social media ads.

Oh, and I should probably mention that I’m chatting in a Facebook party for ANOTHER series on Friday (April 29th, 3-4pm Eastern) where I’ll be giving away this AMAZING bracelet. Plus, you should enter the Rafflecopter because you could win a KINDLE, a gift card, and awesome swag. Plus, the Wiccan Haus is just seriously awesome.

I have a new book out again in less than two weeks, so I have to get back to writing…

Book 3 in Bad Boys of Regret Hollow series is here. My bad boy's guarantee: you'll love it! #newrelease

Today is release day for book 3 in The Bad Boys of Regret Hollow series.

If she trusts him, she can have it all…or lose everything.

Between working her day job in the city and tending her father’s small-town bar every weekend, Haley Miller can’t remember the last time she had a date. When she trips over a stack of her dad’s unpaid bills and into the man of her dreams, she knows the night is guaranteed to be the best of her life…or the worst.

Seth Gardner returns to Regret Hollow to save his family’s business from their landlord’s financial mismanagement. The chance to finally act on his crush on Haley is a bonus he’s not about to turn down. But if he waits too long to confess his secrets, he’ll lose her trust and his chance.

Just when Haley thinks she can have the love and the life she always dreamed of, she discovers everything was built on a lie. Seth will lose her unless he can guarantee a lasting love built from nothing more than their fantasies.

Seth tucked a strand of Haley’s wavy blond hair behind her ear, hoping his hand didn’t shake. He was actually touching Haley Miller. They stood so close her body heat seared him through his clothes and her rising and falling chest threatened his sanity.

He needed to think of something else to say, fast. Bad enough he couldn’t work up the nerve to approach her last night. He couldn’t let her impression of him be the same tongue-tied stammering Seth of his youth. “So who’s the lucky boyfriend right now?”

She loosened the knot of his tie, not meeting his gaze.

His cock reacted to her fingers grazing his chest like she’d taken him in her fist, while she couldn’t even look him in the eye. He would embarrass himself in record time if he didn’t regain his control. “Never mind.” He dropped his fingers from her hair. “None of my business.”

“No boyfriend.” She met his gaze then glanced away. “Just…plans.”

Whoa, the fantasy thing had to be the “plans.” As much as he wanted to make her fantasy come true, convincing her to forego it for him would give him a real chance to win her over.

“Maybe together we can come up with a better plan.” Hoping his hand wouldn’t betray his nerves, he settled his fingers on her cheek, caressing her jaw.

“You can try.” She aimed a sassy grin at him, sending his groin to full salute. “Give it your best shot.”

Former assassin Rex realizes retirement isn’t all it’s cracked up to be without someone to share it with. He longs for the kind of connection his friends Hunter and Casey have. Tired of meaningless hookups, Rex and his wolf are ready to find their mate. But what if his mate is the human-were bunny shifter his former boss placed in his care? Can he win the heart of this fierce and beautiful man?

Abducted and genetically altered against his will, Aaron is thrust into a world he’d thought was only make-believe. Under the protection of a Minnesota wolf pack, he struggles with his new abilities as a rabbit shifter and his growing attraction for his cocky protector. Can he trust the former assassin to keep him safe and find his brother still being held captive by the evil group responsible for changing his life forever?

Something tickled his ear, and teeth nipped the lobe. Oh, he liked it a bit rough.

“Oh yeah, baby. Bite me again. Harder.” Rex opened his eyes, finding himself on his side, face-to-face with the rabbit.

“Screw that!” He scrambled back, landing bare-assed on the floor.

Screw bunny?

His wolf’s puzzled response had him crab walking toward the door. How the hell had it gotten in bed with him? Hunter. That shithead.

Leaving the rabbit there, Rex shoved onto his feet and stormed upstairs to their room. He opened the door with so much force it slammed against the wall, causing Priss to bark at the end of the bed.

His righteous indignation diminished slightly with Hunter’s Glock trained on him. Maybe he needed to rethink how soft the former assassin had gotten. His friend lowered the gun and glared at him.

“What the hell, Hunter?” He planted his hands on his hips, more confident without a gun pointed at his face.

Casey sat up and rubbed his eyes, his reddish-blond hair standing on end. “What’s the naked, crazy man yelling about?”

Hunter covered the little wolf’s eyes. Shifters weren’t prudes, but he was one possessive dude now he had a mate. “What’s your damage? And go put some clothes on. Casey doesn’t need to see your man bits.”

“As if you didn’t know. I moved here, froze my balls off last winter, and how do you repay that friendship? By putting a rabbit on my bed. That wasn’t funny. I could have eaten him.” His stomach churned even though his wolf huffed in denial, insulted by the accusation.

No eat. Wolf like bunny.

Yeah, probably too much, you dumb wolf.

Easy Potato Soup #recipe by HL Carpenter #NationalGrilledCheeseMonth

Guest post by HL Carpenter

January was National Soup Month in the US? What we don’t understand is why April is national grilled cheese sandwich month. Those two celebrations belong together. Someone should right this wrong.

We think we’ll have soup while we work up a petition.

Won’t you join us in a bowl? It’s big enough for all.

Easy Potato Soup
1 tbsp. butter
4-5 potatoes, peeled and diced
Chopped or diced onion to taste
1 tbsp. cornstarch or flour
¼ cup water
2 cups water
1 cup milk (whole, evaporated, or 2%)
1 tsp. salt
1 packet chicken bouillon
Shredded cheese optional

Melt butter in 2 quart saucepan.

Add onions and potatoes and cook until soft (5-10 minutes).

Mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with ¼ cup water (pre-mixing prevents annoying lumps). Add cornstarch mixture, water, milk, salt, and bouillon to softened potatoes and onions in saucepan.

Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 20-25 minutes.

Serve with a topping of shredded cheese and a chunk of fresh bread.

Bonus goodness:
Crave added richness? Substitute ½ cup whipping cream for half of the milk.

Are you a vegetable fan? Toss in the veggie of your choice, either frozen or fresh, when you add the milk and water. We like frozen carrots and corn. They add color and they cook right along with the potatoes.

Like things meatier? Put in leftover ham or chicken.

Bland potatoes? Mix in sweet pickle juice. Six teaspoons give the soup a little zing.

Want some zest? A ½ teaspoon dry mustard provides zip.

Need more soup? Add more stuff. The converse works too.

Fighting off vampires? Switch out the regular salt for a teaspoon of garlic salt. If you have a bad infestation, add ½ teaspoon crushed garlic to the soup and serve with a wood spoon.

Looking for a no-calorie accompaniment? Read an e-book while you’re enjoying your soup! We recommend our young adult novel, The SkyHorse.

Heroes as As American as Apple Pie...and a little French Twist @sloanetaylor2 #recipe

Guest Post by Sloane Taylor

As American as Apple Pie is the hero of my erotic short story French Twist. Don Hobbs knows exactly what he likes in the bedroom as well as the kitchen. This Chicago born and bred man is a true lover of fried chicken. The lady in his life, Claudette D’Laquois, has no clue how to turn on a stove, let alone fry this scrumptious dish. But what can you expect from an Interpol agent? To make Claudette's life easier, I gave her the recipe so she can keep her man happy while he oversees an orchard in Nice, France.

Sloane’s Down-home Fried Chicken
1 tbsp. salt
Tap water
6 chicken legs, or thighs or 4 breasts, skinless and boneless
1 cup flour
1tsp. thyme
½ tsp. marjoram
Freshly ground pepper to taste
1 large egg
1½ tbsp. milk
½ cup solid shortening or lard, plus more as needed

Dissolve salt in a small amount of water. Add chicken pieces then cover with more water. Set this in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours.

Remove chicken from fridge 2 hours before you plan to cook. Drain and pat dry.

Combine flour and seasonings in a paper or plastic bag. Shake gently to combine ingredients. Mix egg and milk in a bowl. Set a clean plate or platter on the counter to hold the breaded chicken.

Place one chicken piece at a time in the bag, shake gently to thoroughly coat, then dip in egg mixture, then return the piece to the bag and gently shake again. Set chicken on the plate. Repeat the process until all pieces are coated. Set the uncovered plate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

Heat the shortening in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Test to be sure shortening is hot enough by adding a small piece of bread. It should sizzle and toast quickly.

Carefully add the chicken pieces. Maintain the temperature, but adjust it so chicken doesn’t burn and grease doesn’t splatter everywhere.

Turning frequently, brown the chicken on all sides. Cover and cook 20-25 minutes or until juices run clear when pierced with a sharp knife.

Lay pieces on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any oil. Transfer them to a clean platter and serve.

Here's a brief intro to Book Three of the Naughty Ladies of Nice series with Don and Claudette.

Spies and lies bring a deadly twist to the City of Lights.

Interpol agent Claudette D’Laquois is trapped in the hellhole of life and unable to trust anyone. Desperate to regain control, she flees to the safety of her uncle’s rundown chateau on the French Riviera. But Claudette soon learns the countryside has its own dangers when she finds herself alone with a sexy foreigner.

Uptight accountant Donald Hobbs ditches numbers for dirt to oversee his friend’s orchard for three weeks. His well deserved vacation is perfect until a seductive mademoiselle drags him into a dangerous world of intrigue and erotic fantasy.

Illegal drugs and Russian mobsters take a back seat to a lethal night of sinful pleasure for Claudette and Don.

Nothing like an afternoon of hot sex to keep this guy happy.

Don followed Claudette down the hallway. He scanned her shoulders and down to her narrow waist and clenched his fists until the knuckles almost popped. His gaze dropped to her shapely hips that flared over her long legs. Legs that went on forever. He worked his way back up to her firm ass, mesmerized by the little swing it did as she nonchalantly strolled ahead of him. The rose dangled over her shoulder, luring him like a horse to the carrot, and he was eager to chase after it.

Walking right then wasn’t the easiest thing, but he managed. Her tapered legs in those sexy heels strapped around her slender ankles were the added bonus to keep him moving.

She stopped at her open bedroom door and glanced over her shoulder. Her long auburn hair shimmered with the movement.

Jesus, she was beautiful.

Mon cher, do not be shy.” Her voice dropped a couple of octaves. “I am not.”

Obviously, and he loved it.

He followed her to the bed while fumbling with the buttons on his shirt. She bent and laid the rose on the nightstand, exposing her wet pussy. His cock jackknifed. He swallowed hard and prayed he didn’t come before he finally got to touch her.

“You look as if you need help.” Her soft voice came out low, like a woman who’d been making love for hours.

She turned and reached for his belt. Her large breasts jiggled with the movement and erased his control.

He stretched out a hand for her, but she eluded him and dropped to her knees before he could touch her rosy nipples. An herbal aroma drifted up to him as her hair flowed across her breasts. He scooped it out of the way. The need to watch her every movement overwhelmed him.

His zipper rasped open. Don forced himself to breathe. His swollen cock leapt out of his shorts, grazing her moist mouth.

“I like a man who is eager.”

Her warm breath tingled against his swollen head.

He closed his eyes and sent up a silent prayer she followed through on what he hoped she had in mind.

She swiped her pink tongue across her lips, moistening their soft surface. His body tensed. A soft puff of air caressed his crown, then she bathed the length of his cock from root to tip. She nibbled at the sensitive underside of the cap long enough to buckle his knees.

He wove his fingers through her silky hair and gritted his teeth as she clamped one hand onto his ass and gently dragged the fingernails of her other against his tight balls. The sweet pleasure was almost unbearable.

Jesus, he needed to regain some form of control over his body before he embarrassed himself. He counted twelve breaths, held them, then started again. When that failed, he mentally recited accounting tables. Christ, he’d do anything to save face and not come.

She swirled her tongue across the tip of his dick, her lips nipping at the engorged ridge. It was too much for any man to tolerate. The first rush of heat charged up his cock. He cried out, pumping into her hot wet mouth.

“Stop, baby. I can’t keep this up.” After a few deep, ragged breaths, he ground out, “This isn’t fair to you.”

Claudette sucked him in deeper. Her face buried in his pubic hairs. A new earthquake of need erupted in him when a hum from low in her throat vibrated against his dripping cock.

“Fucksakes, baby.” He took her shoulders and regretfully pulled her off with a pop. “I need to come, but I want to satisfy you. We have to move to the bed.” He hooked a shaky thumb over his shoulder.

She glanced up, her cheeks flushed.

Oui, mon cher, you have all the good ideas today.”

Don doubted that, but he could competently return the teasing and drive her into a serious frenzy.

He held out his hand, wrapped it around hers, and pulled her into his arms. She was warm and yielding and sexy as hell. He cupped her chin and raised it toward his mouth...

#newrelease The Bad Boy's Guilt #RegretHollow #series

Nicole trusted Wyatt with her heart once. She won’t make the same mistake twice.

A broken-down car destroys Nicole DeMonde’s plan to be cool and self-sufficient when she returns to her hometown for her brother’s wedding. The cop who comes to her rescue is none other than local hottie Wyatt Truman, who slept with her then dumped her when they were teens. She has no choice but to accept his help. However, she knows better than to trust him with her heart twice.

Wyatt is determined to earn Nicole’s forgiveness and make amends for his callous past. Once he lays eyes on her, he can’t help wanting more than forgiveness. In fact, his intentions are starting to bear a suspicious resemblance to the forever variety.

If she can’t avoid Wyatt, a one-night stand might be just the thing Nicole needs to work him out of her system. Or will her recovery plan destroy her heart once and for all?

“So you protect people. Interesting.” She glided into the car, her skirt riding dangerously high up her thighs. “Who’s going to protect me from you?”

Ouch. And he completely deserved the zinger. He wrenched his gaze from her sweet, smooth legs. “Looks to me like you can protect yourself just fine, but if you’re worried about me, I can call someone else to watch over you.”

“The only thing I’m worried about is if I have to refer to you as my brother-in-law after this wedding.”

“Please don’t.” He winced as he closed the door.
After checking over her disabled vehicle, he hustled to the driver’s side of his car. While he settled in the seat, Nicole took out her cell phone and held it at arm’s length, selfie-style.

“What are you doing?” He couldn’t take his eyes off her reflection in the rearview mirror.

“Updating my Facebook status. I’ll send you a friend request, and you can check it out. My life is an open book, Officer.”

Cripes. First, she wanted to call him her brother. Now they were going to be Facebook friends. “Whatever you’re comfortable with.” He wouldn’t be comfortable again until she exited the city limits and preferably the state, as well. In fact, he was growing more uncomfortable by the minute, specifically in the crotch of his uniform.

“What are your plans until the rehearsal?” he asked. “Do you want to drive by your dad’s house again? Maybe work up the nerve to ring the doorbell?”

In the mirror, her face flushed. “I have no intention of ringing the doorbell, not because I’m a coward but because he treated his family like crap, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise.”

“Sorry. None of my business.” But he couldn’t help adding, “You know he’s coming to the rehearsal tonight and you’ll see him there?”

“Unfortunately. I can’t avoid running into people I don’t want to see. It’s the reason I never came back to Regret Hollow and still wouldn’t have if my brother hadn’t decided to hold the most important event of his life here.”

He got the message. Her dad wasn’t the only person she’d have preferred to avoid. Arriving at his house, he backed the squad car into the driveway parallel to his truck. As he rounded the car to let her out, he flipped on his phone and accepted her friend request. Thumbing over to her profile, he pulled open the door.

As she stepped onto the driveway, he read aloud the status above her picture. “Hellish meeting, flight delay, defective rental, and now I’m riding in the back of a squad car. Murphy’s Law is biting my ass today.” He lifted his gaze to hers. “If I bite your ass, you’ll find it a hell of a lot more enjoyable than with that Murphy fellow.”

Her eyes widened and then narrowed. “You’re going to have to do a hell of a lot more ass kissing before you get the chance to nibble on anything of mine.”

7 Sexy Sentences from The Bad Boy's Gift #MySexySaturday

It's been a while a since I've done a My Sexy Saturday post, but I have one for you today. Here are seven sentences from The Bad Boy’s Gift.

“I didn’t plan this trip, but you left me no choice. The sketches and painting I gave you are not for sale.” The dark storms in his cobalt-blue eyes mirrored the turbulence of the day he’d marched away from her.

“I own them. I don’t need your permission to sell them.” She held her body rigid, the fragile shell the only thing keeping her heart from crumbling. Despite choosing this path, the prospect of parting with the only piece of him she’d been able to hang onto filled her with yawning emptiness.

His gift is the only thing left from the love they shared…and she plans to sell it.

Former bad boy, now famous artist, Zane DeMonde laughs off an engraved invitation to return to Regret Hollow, the same town that booted him out fifteen years ago. When he discovers the woman who once broke his heart is putting his professional reputation at risk by selling his old paintings, he’s no longer laughing. He’ll do anything to stop her, even return to town … even put his heart in jeopardy again.

High school art teacher Julianne Truman's last chance to save her beloved art department from budget cuts is to sell the old artwork Zane gifted her. Her heart breaks to remove the final traces of him from her life, but she needs to finally move on from the love she never got over.

Julianne’s life belongs to her students, and Zane’s only goal is to protect his art. But the moment they wrap their arms around each other, their old attraction flares to life hot enough to incinerate them and their best intentions.
Sara Daniel writes what she loves to read—irresistible romance, from sweet to steamy and everything in between. She grew up in a small town and was once a landlord of two uninvited squirrels. Deviling the Eggs by HL Carpenter #recipe #middlegrade

by HL Carpenter

Potluck parties are lots of fun; a day to eat hearty and share good times. Bedeviled by what to bring? Try this easy spicy recipe for deviled eggs. (Do you know why they’re called deviled eggs? You get to eat two if you know the answer.*)

Deviled Eggs with Curry
Eggs (week-old or just-ready-to-expire eggs peel more easily)
1 tsp. salad dressing for each egg
Dash of curry powder
Dash of paprika

Hard-boil eggs using an egg cooker or a pot of cold water (cover eggs with water, bring to a boil, remove from heat, cover, and let stand 10-12 minutes). Drain; then place eggs in ice water until cool. Peel cooled eggs and cut in half lengthwise.

Slide egg yolks onto a plate and mash with a fork.

Stir in salad dressing until mixture is smooth and creamy.

Spoon yolk mixture back into egg whites, or use a disposable plastic baggie and an icing tip if you want ooh-la-la fancy deviled eggs.

Sprinkle with curry powder to taste. Dust with paprika for more color.

Arrange on a festive platter and serve warm or cold.

If you’re traveling to the potluck, carry this dish in an insulated cooler with ice.

*According to the Oxford Companion to Food, by Alan Davidson (1999), pp. 247-248, “devil” is a culinary term which first appeared as a noun in the 18th century, and then in the early 19th century as a verb meaning to cook something with fiery hot spices or condiments. The term was presumably adopted because of the connection between the devil and the excessive heat where the devil dwells.

Fourteen year old Tovi thinks finding a flying horse is fabulous luck—until a mysterious stranger says finders aren’t always keepers.

When fourteen year old Tovi Taggert moves to Honeysuckle Hollow to take care of her grandmother, she has a hard time fitting in. For one thing, she’s been tagged with the hated nickname Too-Tall Tovi. For another, everyone at Honeysuckle Hollow High believes Tovi played the Choking Game with someone else’s boyfriend and made out with him besides.

As if she doesn’t have enough problems, after the latest stand-off in the school hallway, Tovi finds a gorgeous speckled egg nestled in a feather lined nest.

She takes the egg home. Mysterious visitors begin appearing almost immediately. Even more worrisome, whatever is inside the egg starts chipping its way out.

When the egg hatches, revealing a winged horse, Tovi’s troubles multiply.

As she struggles to return the horse to the magical land where he belongs, Tovi must make a courageous decision—and accept what that decision will cost her.

What You Want #newrelease for @LandraGraf @DecadentPub #BDSM #eroticromance

What You Want
Genre: BDSM Erotic Contemporary
Pages: 60

Blurb: When her sister gets sick on the night of her 1Night Stand date, Laney Malcolm is asked to fill in and pretend to be her twin. Treating it as a lark, she looks forward to an adventurous event with a free dinner and not much else. She isn’t prepared for the fierce attraction nor the urge to help the Hawaiian, tattooed submissive she’s introduced to.

Kanoa Mahelona has spent the last year trying to find himself, but he’s tired of random hook-ups and women who only want him for his bad-boy image. Madame Eve helped his boss, so he turns to her for assistance. Attractive and damn good at breaking through his barriers, the blonde Domme challenges him in a way he can’t seem to turn down.

Only she’s not who she appears to be, and, once the truth comes out, it may be too late to go back.

Short Blurb: Laney Malcolm is pretending to be her twin. Kanoa Mahelona is tired of random hook-ups and women who only want him for his bad-boy image. Will their initial attraction on their 1NS date forge a bond or will hidden secrets end things before they start?

“Really? Well, what if I told you we were already in a scene and you’d already submitted?” She gave him a wink and leaned back in her chair.

Submission didn’t always exist in a neat little box or behind closed doors. How often did the committed couples she’d seen at The Playroom prove the same? Some people only liked to conduct their play in private, but she’d watched men and women let go completely, allowing every decision to be made by their Dominant, down to clothing and food selections.

He frowned but didn’t break visual contact. “I’ve been accommodating, as a gentleman should be. I’m not asking for a spanking or to be tied up.”

“That’s where we’ll disagree. The things you’ve been doing are commands, not questions paired with fluttering lashes or coy looks. As for the tying and spanking, if you’re interested in the act, you can let me know now.” And instinct told her pain wouldn’t work on this one. “But a lot of submissive work has nothing to do with sex or inflicting pain. It’s about letting me in here.” She leaned forward and put her index and middle finger flat against his forehead.

He inhaled sharply at the contact and let his fork hit the plate.

Laney knew this would be the moment of truth, and she needed to ask. Needed finality on whether this date had a longer shelf life than an hour in a restaurant. In truth, she should’ve been out at his initial resistance, but his use of “never” goaded her to push, to prod. Men in her dungeon stayed far away from such a word.

“Do you want me in here?” She poked him again.

He finally lifted his head, a determined, neutral expression on his face. “If you think you can handle it.”

Miss Amabel Hawkins acknowledges her unusual upbringing, but she thinks James Langley, the Duke of Westerton, might be a tad unbalanced when he protests her efforts to right his badly managed properties. The duke, who has been away on the king's business, demonstrates no respect for the beautiful but managing Miss Hawkins. Amabel has taken refuge at Westerton, fleeing from a forced marriage to a man who claims to be her relative in order to gain control of her young brother's estate.

The Duke arrives home to find his estate under the firm control of a beautiful but managing female. While a dastardly spy lurks, a wicked man poses as her cousin threatening to take over the guardianship of her young brother. Amabel might be falling in love, but she knows for certain the duke would never approve of a meddlesome woman, and she decides to flee his estate. Will the duke finally realize the true value of the woman he loves or will his prejudice ruin his chances forever?
